It’s just one of those days for Laura, the gambler. Everything goes wrong. The boss has just busted her for “borrowing” from the till, her credit at the arcade has been stopped, and in her living room stands Klaus, the debt collector, demanding money. Against all odds the mismatched couple realize that they are cut from the same cloth and together they flee old debts of a financial and emotional nature. However, in a world of loan sharks, heavy-weight boxers and gamblers who hit beneath the belt, Laura and Klaus need much more than love in a cottage to make their dreams come true in a tough world.
